The Private Sector Humanitarian Platform (PSHP) is a non-profit business association that brings together private sector companies in Madagascar. It aims to support disaster management efforts in the country by building synergies and complementarities between different stakeholders.

PSHP Madagascar supports the Malagasy private sector in strategically engaging in national disaster risk reduction, preparedness, response and recovery. PSHP’s mission is to gather, facilitate and coordinate the humanitarian contributions of its members and build their capacity to improve operational efficiency. More specifically, the network's objectives include:

  • Improving disaster management, including humanitarian aid, by establishing a stronger connection between the private sector, the National Bureau for Disaster and Risk Management and traditional humanitarian and development organizations;
  • Identifying specific areas or inputs for member companies to support preparedness, response and recovery;
  • Promoting corporate social responsibility (CSR) by creating and implementing projects with PSHP member companies.
