The seventh edition of the Geneva Peace Week will take place online from 2 to 6 November 2020. The Week is jointly organized by the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG), the Geneva Peacebuilding Platform and the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies.
The theme of this year’s Geneva Peace Week is: “Rebuilding trust after disruption: Pathways to reset international cooperation.” Geneva Peace Week 2020 will aim at galvanizing leadership, building trust and contributing ideas to transform international cooperation in the wake of COVID-19.
Over five days, Geneva Peace Week will be the umbrella for more than 70 online events brought together by 280 partner organizations. Topics for discussions will be wide-ranging and will include the new role of cyber peace, environmental peacebuilding, or harnessing the economy for peace in a COVID-19 era. Attendees are welcome to participate in ‘Live Sessions’ and to engage in the new ‘Digital Series’. We would also like to invite you to the Opening Ceremony that will take place online on 2 November at 3 p.m. The full programme of the Geneva Peace Week is available at genevapeaceweek.ch/programme.
